Constantine M. "Gus" Evangelinos, 76, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at Astoria Place of Barnesville. He was born January 30, 1942, in Steubenville, Ohio, to the late Michael and Calliopi Polites Evangelinos.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Helen Satiropoulis and Maria Evangelinos.
Gus was honorably discharged from US Army Reserve as a Staff Sargent Specialist 5 in 1972.
Gus was a charter faculty member of the Belmont College Industrial Technology Department, St. Clairsville, retiring in 2002 after thirty years of service. In retirement, he pursued his love of farming in Belmont and Monroe Counties.
Surviving are his wife, Toula Flizanes Evangelinos, of Barnesville and four sisters: Angie Evangelinos of Northville, Michigan; Erma (Charles) Rangos of Follansbee, West Virginia; Mary McElhaney of Imperial, Pennsylvania; and Stella (George) Parikakis of Follansbee; one niece, Alexis Satiropoulis and two nephews, Chris (Lisa) Satiropoulis and Peter (Amy) Parikakis all of Steubenville.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 20, 2018 from 4-8 PM at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Trisagion services will be held on Sunday at 6 PM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 21, 2018 at 11 AM at Zoodochos Peghe Greek Orthodox Church, 314 North 5th Street, Martins Ferry, Ohio with Fr. Michael Ziebarth and Fr. Nicholas Halkias officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens in Colerain, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Gus' memory to the Zoodochos Peghe Greek Orthodox Church, 314 North 5th Street, Martins Ferry, Ohio 43935 or to the Barnesville Volunteer Fire Department, 125 East Church Street, Barnesville, Ohio 43713.
