Byron D. "Woody" Brownfield, 80, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Emerald Pointe Nursing & Rehab. He was born on May 12, 1937 in Cumberland, Ohio to the late Woodrow W. and Eva B. (Christman) Brownfield.
Woody was a 1956 graduate of Bethesda High School. He loved his family and watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow up. Woody and his wife were former owners of Woody's Restaurant.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Naomi Conter.
Woody is survived by his wife, Joyce F. (Rowley) Brownfield; a son, Byron Keith (Debra) Brownfield of St. Clairsville; two daughters, Debra (Greg) Wise of Bethesda and Penny (Keel) Christman of Barnesville; 13 grandchildren, Jeff Wise, Beth Dennis, Tyler Brownfield, Meredith Maloney, Trent Brownfield, Hannah Smith, Mallory Christman, Rick Phillips, Amanda Phillips, Joe Phillips, Maranda Gramlich, Aaron Lucas, an Alisah Lucas; 22 great-grandchildren; a sister, Sandra Boulet of Dalton, Ohio; aunts, Mary Lou Broomhall and June Hanson; and several nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 11, 2018 from 2 PM until 6 PM at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio where services will be held on Monday, February 12, 2018 at 11 AM with his grandson, Pastor Jeff Wise officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens in Colerain, Ohio.
