Bonnie Jean Bailey, 75, of Columbus, Ohio lived life to its fullest from April 7, 1942 to December 28, 2017 when she passed away at Friendship Village in Columbus. She was born in Athens, Ohio to Lester and Gladys (Outland) Bailey, but was raised in Barnesville, Ohio, her home.

Her professional career began as an administrative assistant with Phillips Petroleum in Columbus, Ohio. She left this to travel the world with the United States Department of State where she lived in Australia, Israel, England, Norway, and Washington D.C. She made friends everywhere as any who knew her would attest. Though she traveled and lived throughout the world, her “roots” were always planted in Barnesville, Ohio with her friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Gladys Bailey; and brother-in-law, Delmar Gregg.

She is survived by sisters, Jane Gregg of Quaker City, Ohio and Judy (Dan) Hoffmann of Columbus; nephews, Jeff (Theresa) Gregg, Sean (Christa) Hoffmann, Scott (Kara) Hoffmann; nieces, Kate Hoffmann and Jennifer Gregg; several great nieces and nephews; and her many friends!

Bonnie's life will be celebrated on Saturday, March 31, 2018 from 12 PM until 3 PM at the Barnesville Library Annex, 611 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio, where friends and family are encouraged to share in food, fellowship, and sharing memories of Bonnie. A formal time to share memories will be held at 1 PM. Inurnment will take place on Saturday at 10 AM with Rev. Jean Cooper officiating at Stillwater Friends Cemetery in Barnesville. Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio.
