Barbara K. Spencer (nee Gunther), of Barnesville, Ohio, formerly of New Windsor, Maryland passed away on January 2, 2020 at Wheeling Hospital. She was born on February 10, 1944 in Baltimore, Md. to the late Anna and Jacob Gunther.
Barbara had a full life, full of love, with her devoted and loving husband and her daughter, whom she adored along with her granddaughters. She had 31 years of her career in electronics/manufacturing. Her life was full with her loving husband Tim whom she worked side by side with for 38 years in the Neo-natal field. After retiring, she worked at the Barnesville Veterinary Clinic for several years. One of the great loves of her life was her Boxer, Maximillion, who showed her a new way of love and devotion.
Barb's life was kept busy with her family, lovely homes, landscaping, cooking, crafts, and her big beautiful Boxers, Remy, Maxi, and JJ Rocket.
She was predeceased by her parents, her devoted husband, Tim; a sister, JoAnne Atwell; adopted grandson, Kevin Smith; and great-granddaughter, Lexi Smith.
Survived by her daughter, Kim (Doug) Smith of Barnesville, Ohio, granddaughters, Johnna D. Lynn of Flushing and Cheyenne Smith of Barnesville; great-grandsons, Cameron and Logan Smith of Flushing and great-granddaughters, Aayla Smith and Natalie Schau of Barnesville.
It was Barbara's wishes to be remembered as she was in life, always doing one project after the other. She wanted to let all of those that she loved and who loved her that she will always be beside them when they need her to encourage them and to love them.
