Lowell Thomas McFrederick

Lowell Thomas "Tom" McFrederick, 74, of Barnesville died Monday, October 26, 2015 at Emerald Pointe Nursing and Rehab Center.  Tom was born on November 11, 1940 in Belmont County, Ohio to the late Lowell Mason and Alpharetta (Dillon) McFrederick of Somerton.

Tom is a veteran of the United States Army.  He was a 1958 graduate of Barnesville High School and a 1959 graduate of Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois where he studied watchmaking.  He worked as a watchmaker for H.B. Armstrong Jewelry from 1959-1969 and then went to work at North American Coal Company until 2000.  Tom was a faithful Christian, a member of the Belmont County Genealogy Society, First Families of Belmont County and Pioneer Families of Belmont County.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marianne Lois (Phillips) McFrederick and a granddaughter, Courtney Velvet McFrederick.

Tom is survived by his three children: Mark Thomas McFrederick of Hartville, Julia Louise (John) McFrederick-Paugstat of Marietta and Bill (Sue) McFrederick of Barnesville; and five grandchildren: Tiffany Lauren (Scott) McFrederick, Tristin Mark McFrederick, Whitney Dawn McFrederick, Louisa Anne Paugstat and Olivia Joy Paugstat.

According to Tom's wishes, there will be no services.  Arrangements by Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio.
