Frederick L. Miller

Frederick "Fred" L. Miller, 75, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Astoria Place of Barnesville. He was born on April 17, 1942 in Barnesville, Ohio to the late Lawrence and Clara (Burkhart) Miller.

Fred was a member of the Barnesville VFW Post 2792 and Barnesville Elks Lodge #1699. He worked in maintenance at Y&O Coal Company and Shamrock Conduit. He enjoyed his family, playing cards, playing horseshoes, and story telling.

In addition to his parents, Fred is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Carolyn L. (Froehlich) Miller on April 20, 2015; brothers, Vernon, George, Robert, and Thomas Miller.

Fred is survived by his children, Darren (Debbie) Miller, Kevin (Stephanie) Miller, Jeff Miller, and Tim (Pandora) Miller; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren, and sisters, Evelyn Cook, Mary Ann Bolon, and Rita (Larry) Griffith; and mother-in-law, Thelma Froehlich.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 23, 2017 from 2-4 pm and 6 pm until the time of the vigil service at 8 pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio 43713. Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Monday, July 24, 2017 at 10 am with Fr. Dave Cornett officiating at Assumption Catholic Church, 306 West Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Burial will follow at Assumption Catholic Cemetery in Barnesville.
