Dale R. "Buffy" Hannahs, 71, of Barnesville, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018, at his home. He was born on September 17, 1946, in Barnesville, Ohio, to the late Harold Ernest and Hazel G. (Carpenter) Hannahs.

Dale was a 1964 graduate of Barnesville High School and was a member of the American Legion Post 168, Barnesville B.P.O.E. Lodge #1699, and attended the First United Methodist Church of Barnesville. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force where he served during Vietnam and served many years in the Army National Guard.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Earlena Hannahs; and an infant brother, Joseph Allen Hannahs.

Dale is survived by his wife of 12 years, Beverly J. (Brown) Hannahs; son, Dale "Louie" Hannahs of Barnesville; three step-children, Julie (Tony) Starr of Barnesville, Lorie (Brent) Marnell of Martinsburg, WV, John Dowler of Barnesville; eight step-grandchildren, Alexis, Abigail and Olivia Starr, Lauren Hoffman, Mason and Cecilia Marnell, and Kallee and Tate Dowler; two brothers, Gary (Judie) Hannahs of Barnesville and Lester Hannahs of Hubert, NC; three sisters, Donna Moore of Barnesville, Jean Easton of Tipp City, Ohio, and Betsy (John) Smith of Proctorville, Ohio.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 7, 2018, from 1 PM until 3 PM at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. There will be an Elks Service held at 3 PM followed by military honors being presented, and funeral service officiated by Rev. Ted Buehl.
