Charles R Wilkins

Charles R. Wilkins, 98, of Barnesville died Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Emerald Pointe Nursing and Rehab Center.  Charles was born in Hendrysburg, Ohio on July 29, 1918 to the late Charles R. and Rosa (Hamilton) Wilkins.

Charles was a member and had been active serving on several boards of the Barnesville First United Methodist Church.  He retired after 42 years, from Consol Energy.  Charles was a 75 year member of the Kirkwood Lodge #446 F&AM and had previously served on the Barnesville Hospital Board.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Tom Smith.

Charles is survived by his wife of 50 years, Frances Masters Wilkins; two daughters: Jennifer (Fred) Warner of Galena, Ohio and Deborah (Mike) Cook of Barnesville; six grandchildren: Angela (Jon) Smith Mason of Westerville, Ryan (Emily) Smith of Lewis Center, Rachel Cook (Jesse Woo) of Seattle, WA, Leah (Travis) Cook Shirer of New Concord, Trista (Josh) Warner White of Sunbury and Shane Warner of Columbus; and five great-grandchildren: Hadley Mason, Lyla Smith and Lanie, Parker and Callie White.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 from 11am until the time of the service at 1pm with Pastor Ted Buehl officiating at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio.  Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery in Hendrysburg, Ohio.
